I'd like to try stand up paddleboarding but I've never done it before. How can I get started?

One of our favorite things is introducing new people to the sport of paddleboarding! Prior to your first lesson/tour, we suggest you refer to our Resources page to familiarize yourself with the checklist of things to bring and what to expect from the lesson. What happens if I need to cancel?

We understand that life happens and plans change. We do ask that you give us at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel, in order to allow us the opportunity to fill your time slot. Purchases are non-refundable inside of 48 hours, though they may be transferred, depending on availability of future time slots.

Question 3

What if the weather/wind isn't great on the day of my session?

Accepted Answer

Weather and wind are important components of the stand up paddleboarding experience and we reserve the right to cancel your session if we feel the weather or wind would not be conducive to a safe outing. In addition to certain weather conditions, wind over 10-12 knots does not lend itself well to a positive SUP experience. In the event of a weather cancellation, we will either fully refund your money or you can transfer your purchase to a later session.

Can I bring my dog?

Absolutely! We even have a few life jackets available for your canine companions. If you're planning on bringing your dog, send us a message to find out about size/availability of life jackets. Or, even better, bring along your own that your pup is already accustomed to.

Question 5

Do you allow kids to use the boards?

Accepted Answer

Our main priority is to ensure everyone's safety and a positive experience when using the boards, so it depends more on strength, endurance, and ability than age. A general rule of thumb is around age 10 or 100 lbs to use their own board, but smaller children are more than welcome to ride with an adult on their board. Feel free to message us if you're planning to bring your child and are unsure if they're ready to use their own board. We also have a three-person kayak to rent if that's more your family's speed.
